Description Templates - How to create and use them
Only Jira administrators can create a template

In this example, we will work with the space project called Custom Templates - FAQs
Create, configure and use a description template
Use description template to fill a new issue work item description

First you need to go to “Your apps” and find de “Custom Template for Jira Cloud” section.
If you don't have a template, create one using the New Description button or generate default sample templates with Add default templates
Navigate to the admin dashboard for manage description templates
Ensure the project scope of your description templates (in this demo, Custom Templates - FAQs) matches the project where you want to use these templates.

Now, if you open the Jira Create View Issue, you should see a drop-down field listing all description templates configured for your project

Once you select a description template item from the drop-down field, the app fills the work item description with the selected template's content
