Backup Manager for Jira Cloud (Deprecated)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Critical Changes to Backup API & Service Availability
Effective Date: March 30, 2026
Dear valued users,
We are writing to inform you of upcoming changes to the Atlassian platform that will critically impact the functionality of the Quabu Backup Manager App.

  1. Deprecation of Backup APIs Atlassian has announced that on March 30, 2026, the internal REST APIs currently used by our App to generate and download backups will be deprecated.

  2. Restrictions for Standard Plan Users Atlassian is transitioning to a new "Backup & Restore" API framework at the Organization level. According to Atlassian's latest documentation, these new APIs will be available exclusively for Premium and Enterprise plans. Consequently, we cannot guarantee that our App will continue to function for customers on Jira Standard plans after March 30. It is highly likely that automated backups will no longer be possible for Standard users due to these platform-imposed restrictions.

  3. Atlassian’s Native Solution For Premium and Enterprise customers, Atlassian is launching a native "Backup & Restore" tool that includes features such as scheduled backups and direct uploads to Amazon AWS S3—functionalities that were previously unique to our paid tier.

Our Commitment We are incredibly proud to have provided this service for free to the community over the past years. We want to be fully transparent so you can take the necessary precautions regarding your data strategy.
