Custom Templates - Getting started

Go fast creating Descriptions and Comments

Templates are the key to automate description content and comment creation. For example, you can create a default comment to respond a user that the issue is resolved or update the description for certain criteria.

Anyone with permissions to edit issues can use the Templates:

Extend the capabilities of your Jira Comments adding extra functionality or including dynamic content.

Some ideas for comments :

  1. Issue Created Comment

  2. Issue Reopened Comment

  3. Issue resolved Comment

Add Templates for the future usage of the users

To add Comment Template:

  1. Go to Apps

  2. Find Custom Template item.

  3. Create new one: Comment Templates

To see Template:

  1. Go to any issue.

  2. Select Comment Templates tab.

  3. Select the template and submit.

  4. Go to comments section to see the new comment.
